About Our Parish

Holy Family Maragua Catholic Parish is a vibrant community of faith, serving as the seat of Maragua Deanery within the Catholic Diocese of Murang'a, dedicated to following the example of Jesus, Mary, and St. Joseph.

Our History

Holy Family Maragua Catholic Parish was established as part of the Catholic Diocese of Murang'a, serving the spiritual needs of our growing community in Maragua. Named after the Holy Family - Jesus, Mary, and St. Joseph - our parish exemplifies the virtues of love, faith, and family unity.

As the seat of Maragua Deanery, we coordinate with seven sister parishes: Ichagaki Parish (Our Lady of Assumption), Ithanga Parish (Our Lady of Assumption), Kenol Parish (St. Charles Lwanga), Kitito Parish (Blessed Virgin of Mt. Carmel), Makuyu Parish (St. John Bosco), Muthithi Parish (St. Joseph the Husband of Mary), and Sabasaba Parish (Holy Cross).

Over the years, our parish has grown from a small congregation to a thriving community of faithful Catholics. We continue to build upon our foundation of faith, working together to serve God and our neighbors while maintaining our beautiful Fatima Centre for community gatherings and spiritual growth.
